I believe my role is to foster a safe and positive climate at West and to support the students, staff, and the families of West High School by providing rich learning opportunities to students as they travel on their journey to becoming successful adults, ensuring that when they leave our doors, they are college, career, and life ready.
I believe that a strong partnership between home and school leads to greater success at school. I look forward to working with students, staff, and parents. Please feel free to contact me at any time.

It is my pleasure to welcome you to Mankato West High School. I am excited to be a part of the West community as assistant principal. My main responsibilities include attendance and discipline issues. I believe my role is to foster a safe and positive climate at West and to support the students, staff, and the families of West High School by providing learning opportunities to students as they travel on their journey to becoming successful adults.
I am excited to be joining the Mankato West High School community for the 2016-17 school year as an assistant principal. For the past two years, I have served as 7-12 principal at Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial. I am returning to the Mankato Area Public Schools where I previously worked as assistant to the principal at Dakota Meadows Middle School from 2012-2014, and 7th grade Geography/CIC coach at Mankato East Junior High from 2010-2012. Prior to that, I worked at NRHEG High School as a high school social studies teacher for 7 years.
One of my favorite things about working in education is connecting with students, helping them see the potential they have, then helping them achieve their goals. I am really looking forward to the opportunities I’ll have to do just that in this new role.
Please contact me if I can be helpful to you or your student.
